No doubt a brain and some shoes are essential for marathon success, although if it comes down to a choice, pick the shoes. More people finish marathons with no brains than with no shoes.

I need to get rid of my brain and buy a new pair of shoes. :)

True. I have shoes and no brain. :) I started losing it 10 1/2 years ago and it's just slipped away over time. Praise the Lord for shoes!

I'd like to shut down my brain for about 7 days. I don't think I've ever over-thought a race this bad in my life!
