Challenge - REAL WOMEN

Ok real women.

A few people who've come by NofSahm in the last few days don't "know" what I look like.

Well.
Not to "toot my own horn", but I'm not a completely unfortunate looking woman.  On film.  Don't ask me to talk about the woman who lives in my mirror.  We have a tumultuous relationship.  But on film, I don't entirely suck.

So, in honor of the fact that I suspect you ALL DON'T SUCK EITHER ~

Post a photo of yourself on your blog that makes you feel beautiful, or epic, or Galactically Bada**.
Or all of the above is OK too.

It doesn't have to be a beautiful photo of you, if you prefer to keep your looks on the down low, have privacy issues, etc.  But post something that makes you reflect on how not only are you "good enough", to quote a friend, but how you are ACTUALLY SO MUCH BETTER THAN GOOD ENOUGH.

I'll start.  This is the photo of me on New Years Eve.  This is what I looked like when the clock struck midnight and 2012 began.

I hated this dress.
I felt fat that night.
I had mentally punched myself in the face about 200 times in the 48 hours before this photo was taken...

And it's also the photo that reminded me that women, for the most part, are blind.
Including me.

leave a comment and let us know where to find your beautiful photo.

First of all you look amazing!!! I however completely understand the difference between what I see in the mirror and what the world sees! I love this challenge! I will have to comb through my pics and get back to you.

I love that you posted this--and you look FANTASTIC!!! I've been having a hard time over the past 2 weeks. I had my second baby 2 weeks ago and while I know it's beyond unrealistic to be back in my pre-baby body so soon (and I really do look good right now for just having had a baby 2 weeks ago), I'd be totally lying if I said that it didn't concern me that I still have 11 pounds to lose and I'm worried about looking the way I did before baby. it's sad that we as women are so critical of ourselves, but it's also nice to hear that others DO feel this way. I am so going to accept your challenge and post a pic later today.

I'm gonna shot straight.

You are a dumb (bleep). (read that with pauses between each word for effect)

How on EARTH could you not see how beautiful you are? And I am not just talking about that photo. the kind of person you are comes across in your writing, in your circle of friends, in your family. I only hope one day to be as truly beautiful and honest a person as you are. You are a real woman of today inspiring many!

And that photo only shows what is there. You are beautiful.

I love that you posted this challenge. Women are too hard on themselves. I don't know what picture of me would be appropriate. I'll have to think on it and post one to the ole blog. Glad I stopped by. Please feel free to visit my blog if you get the chance.
